Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Concrete Mixer HGV 2 Driver to join our busy team at our depot in Fulwood Preston. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of ready-mixed concrete to customer sites, ensuring timely deliveries are made whilst adhering to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities for HGV 2 driver

• Operate a concrete mixer HGV safely and efficiently.
• Deliver ready-mixed concrete to customers within designated areas.
• Ensure the accurate loading, unloading, and delivery of concrete in line with customer requirements.
• Perform pre-vehicle and post-vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation for each day.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel regarding time schedules.
• Adhere to all road transport regulations and company health & safety procedures.

Requirements for HGV 2 driver

• HGV 2 licence. (Essential)
• Valid CPC Card. (Essential)
• Valid Driver Card. (Essential)
• Previous experience driving concrete mixer trucks is highly desirable but not essential, as training will be given.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally to internal and external clients.
