Launched in 2025, our highly efficient mixing plant supplies asphalt products across North West England.
Fox Group run a state-of-the-art Asphalt Plant in Leyland providing fast turnaround times with 900 tonnes of finished products storage. The plant is highly efficient in operation with very low CO2 production of Asphalt products. The plant is able to use up to 60% recycled materials in the finished product.
Customers will benefit from the full array of roadstone materials from the commonly used hotmix macadams and hot rolled asphalts, right through to the more complex design mixes of stone mastic asphalts and low CO2 products utilising warm mix designs and high levels of Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAP) derived from road planing.
These innovations ensure high value asphalt products contribute effectively to circularity in road construction. Raw materials are supplied in a sustainable way with as much as 80% of products supplied by train to the site own rail head at the Leyland site.
Foam Mix Asphalt
We are able to produce foam mix asphalt products. Foam mix asphalt, is a sustainable and cost-effective paving material used in road construction and maintenance. It utilises foamed bitumen, which is created by injecting water and air into bitumen, increasing its volume and reducing its viscosity. This process allows for the use of a higher percentage of recycled materials, reduced energy consumption, and lower carbon emissions compared to traditional hot mix asphalt.
