Charity partnership with Trinity Hospice

Fox Brothers are extremely proud to announce that we have entered into a charity partnership with Trinity Hospice.

The Hospice has been at the heart of the Fylde Coast for 35 years. It provides exceptional care and support for people on the journey towards the end of life. Each year, their specialist nursing teams touch the lives of thousands of people. This has included a number of Fox Brothers employees in recent years.

As a charity, the Hospice must raise over £5 million each year. This ensures it can continue to provide outstanding end of life care to those who need it. We at Fox Brothers hope to play a small part, together with all of their other partners, in helping them achieve this.

We have a number of fundraising activities and events lined up for 2020 and we will be posting more details about these in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, if you would like to find out more about the amazing Trinity Hospice, go to the following link: www.trinityhospice.co.uk – ‘It’s not what you think it is’

Fox Group Announces the Passing of Director John Flood

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Flood, Director of Fox Group, a highly respected colleague and a dear friend.

John joined Fox Group in 2019, bringing with him more than 25 years of senior leadership experience across the construction, infrastructure and utilities sectors. His extensive industry knowledge, strategic insight and commitment to the business played a significant role in shaping Fox Group into the organisation it is today.

Over the past seven years, John worked closely with Paul Fox and the wider leadership team, making an invaluable contribution to the Group’s growth, development and continued success. His guidance, experience and unwavering dedication were instrumental in helping the business achieve many important milestones.

Beyond his professional achievements, John was a trusted colleague, mentor and friend. He was widely respected for his integrity, sound judgement and willingness to support those around him. His influence extended far beyond the boardroom, leaving a lasting impression on the many people who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Reflecting on their years working together, Paul Fox said:

“John was much more than a fellow director and business partner. He was a dear friend and someone I could always rely on for advice, support and an honest opinion. We shared many challenges and achievements over the years, and the trust and belief we had in one another never faltered. His contribution to Fox Group cannot be overstated, and I know we would not be where we are today without him.”

John leaves behind an enduring legacy at Fox Group, reflected not only in the business he helped develop but also in the people he supported, guided and inspired throughout his career.

At this incredibly difficult time, our heartfelt condolences go to John’s children, Jack, Aidan, Dom and Cait, his grandson Rory, and his wider family and loved ones.

John will be greatly missed by everyone at Fox Group, and his contribution to the business will always be remembered.

Fox Group opens new Moore Readymix Concrete Plant in Leyland

Fox Group is pleased to announce the opening of a new Readymix concrete plant in Leyland through Moore Readymix who are part of the Fox Group. This marks another significant investment in our operations and strengthening our ability to supply high-quality ready-mixed concrete across the North West.

The new facility has a production capacity of 60m³ per hour, supported by a 2m³ mixer, allowing for efficient production, consistent quality and reliable turnaround times to meet the demands of construction projects of all sizes.

The Leyland plant complements Moore Readymix’s existing operation in Lytham St Annes, which has been supplying ready-mixed concrete to customers across the Fylde Coast for over 20 years. Both facilities offer identical production capabilities, further strengthening our regional coverage and supply capacity.

Reliable Concrete Supply and Delivery

To support the new operation, the Leyland plant is equipped with a dedicated delivery fleet consisting of five 6m³ concrete mixer trucks and one MiniMix truck.

This enables Moore Readymix to provide a flexible and dependable delivery service, catering for everything from smaller domestic projects and self-builds to large-scale commercial developments and major construction works.

Investing in More Sustainable Concrete Production

Sustainability has been a key consideration in the development of the new facility, reflecting Fox Group’s wider commitment to reducing environmental impact across our operations.

The plant features two 60-tonne powder silos, providing the flexibility to incorporate higher proportions of cement replacement materials into concrete mixes, helping to reduce their associated carbon impact.

Aggregate loading is also carried out indoors, helping to minimise noise and dust emissions and reduce the impact of operations on the surrounding environment.

These features support our ongoing investment in more efficient and environmentally responsible construction materials production.

Supporting Construction Across the North West

The opening of the Leyland plant represents another important step in Fox Group’s continued growth and investment in its construction materials operations.

Through Moore Readymix, we can now offer increased production capacity, improved regional coverage and a reliable concrete supply service to domestic and commercial customers alike.

Whether you’re undertaking a DIY project, building your own home or managing a major construction development, Moore Readymix can provide high-quality ready-mixed concrete to meet your requirements.

For further information about our ready-mixed concrete products, availability or delivery options, please contact Fox Group.

Why Reliability and Agility Define Great Logistics.

Reliability: The Foundation of Successful Logistics

Technology has transformed the logistics and warehousing industry.

Real-time delivery tracking, improved supply chain visibility and increasingly sophisticated planning systems have changed the way businesses manage their logistics operations. Yet, despite these advancements, one factor continues to define the relationship between logistics providers and their customers: reliability.

For businesses across the UK, consistent logistics performance is not simply a convenience. It is an operational necessity.

Every missed delivery can have consequences. Production schedules can be disrupted, stock availability can be affected, customer service levels can suffer, and revenue can be placed under pressure. When supply chains depend on multiple moving parts, businesses need a logistics partner they can trust to deliver on its commitments.

At Fox Group Logistics, we understand that every load represents an important commitment to a customer.

Our role extends beyond transportation. We provide assurance.

  • Assurance that deadlines are treated with importance.
  • Assurance that expectations are communicated and managed.
  • Assurance that customers can focus on running their businesses while we focus on meeting their logistics requirements.

Reliability is built through consistent performance, attention to detail and a commitment to doing what we say we will do.

Ultimately, transport is built on trust. And trust is earned through delivery, day after day.

Agility: The Competitive Advantage Every Business Needs

While reliability provides the foundation, agility enables businesses to move forward. No matter how carefully an organisation plans, unexpected challenges will always arise. Demand changes. Markets shift. Deadlines move. Customer expectations evolve.

In this environment, the ability to adapt quickly has become an increasingly important advantage for businesses managing modern supply chains. The most successful organisations are not necessarily those with the greatest resources. Often, they are those that can respond effectively when circumstances change. This is where the value of an agile logistics partner becomes clear.

At Fox Group, we believe customers should never feel restricted by their logistics operation. Instead, their logistics partner should empower them to respond to opportunities and navigate challenges with confidence.

Our commitment is built upon flexibility, responsiveness and problem-solving.

When circumstances change, we adapt.

When challenges emerge, we work towards solutions.

When opportunities arise, we help customers explore how their logistics operation can support their ambitions.

Whether a business needs dependable transportation, flexible warehousing or a more comprehensive logistics strategy, having a partner capable of responding to evolving requirements can make a meaningful difference.

Building Logistics Solutions Around Our Customers

As we conclude this edition of Fox Logistics Week, two principles remain at the heart of our approach: reliability and agility.

The modern logistics industry demands more than transportation from one location to another. It requires experience, communication, flexibility and a genuine understanding of the businesses being supported.

Reliable logistics helps organisations plan with confidence. Agile logistics enables them to respond when plans change.

Together, these qualities help create supply chains that are better equipped to meet the demands of modern business.

At Fox Group Logistics, we believe the best logistics solutions are not built around limitations. They are built around customers.

Because when business demands certainty, experience and commitment, trust remains the most valuable asset of all.

Fox Group Logistics — delivering reliability, responding with agility and building trust through every journey.
